Daycare
Daycare Program
The daycare is available to children ages 2.5- through 6-years old. All children must be fully potty trained (able to pull pants up/down, wipe self, turn water on/off, wash and dry hands). Children are not required to be enrolled in one of the preschool classes to use the daycare. Although, this program is supplementary to our 3- and 4-year old classes.
On a daily basis your child will have the opportunity for the following: planned activities and experiences to develop large and small muscle skills, self-directed play, outdoor play (weather permitting) or use of the gym, learning centers, creative play, story time, and developing relationships with teachers and peers.

Snacks and Lunches
We are a PEANUT-FREE school! Parents must provide their child with a healthy snack or lunch if present at the times listed below. We ask each family utilizing the daycare to donate $1 per week for us to purchase milk and juice for snack times only. Lunches must include food and a drink. We recommend fruit for the morning snack, a well-rounded meal for lunch, and veggies or wholesome food for the afternoon and evening snacks. Chips, cookies and candy do not count as a healthy snack. Scientific research has proven that processed, sugary foods and drinks have a negative affect on a child's behavior and weaken the immune system for up to four hours.
Morning Snack: 10:00 am
Lunch Time: 11:45 am
Nap/Rest Time: 12:15-1:15 pm
Afternoon Snack: 2:00 pm
Evening Snack: 4:00 pm
Please label snacks as such so they are not served as part of your child's lunch. Refrigerator and microwave are available. Please provide a note if you would like your child's food heated. Thank you!

Pollywogs Program - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Pollywogs operates from Monday-Friday during the last two weeks of summer vacation, prior to the start of school in September. There is one session each day in the morning from 9:00 - 11:30 am. This program is available to children ages 2.5- through 6-years old who are fully potty trained.
What Is Pollywogs?
Pollywogs was created for parents who want their children to ease gently into the routine of coming to school for the first time in their little lives, without the pressure of regular preschool classes. It is a big transition to go from being at home, or in the care of someone familiar, to preschool classes where the people and environment are unfamiliar. This program will help alleviate the anxiety that is felt by parents and children alike on those first days of school when separation is difficult.
Everyone Benefits From Using Pollywogs
The first day of preschool can be very stressful for parents, students, and teachers if children are crying and upset after parents leave. Traditionally, it is part of the growing and learning process that children experience the first difficult days of separation from parents on their first day of school. But imagine your child giving you a hug and a kiss at the door, then turning and walking into the classroom on the first day of school, knowing you will be back to pick him or her up after class. No stress. No anxiety. No tears. Only your peace of mind at knowing your son or daughter is happy and okay. That is the benefit of using Pollywogs.
We ask that you truly consider taking advantage of Pollywogs and allowing your child to get used to the separation process before school begins. You, your child's classmates, and the teachers will have a much more pleasant first day if you do! Keep in mind that you are welcome to stay with your child for the first hour on his or her first day of Pollywogs.
I'm Interested, Now What?
Fill out the Pollywogs Intent Form (form accompanies the registration papers that are mailed in June). You may use Pollywogs as childcare while you run errands or get some work done at home. Or you might have your child come only on the days he or she will be in their preschool class. Some parents start with 45 minutes and increase the timetheir child stays each day to work up to 2 1/2 hours (the length of the preschool classes). It is up to you and what you are comfortable with for your child.
Pollywogs is run by our Daycare Staff. The rate is $4.00 per hour. The schedule of activities includes crafts, art projects, snack, free play, hands-on experiences, music and more.
