 PRAYER WARRIORS

A PRAYER WARRIOR is just that - a warrior. He/she goes to battle in prayer against Satan and all the evil forces of this world so that God's purposes will be accomplished in us, for His Will, will be done.

Christians must be serious about prayer The very best way to demonstrate our trust and confidence in the power of prayer is to PRAY! We all know that we should come into Worship prepared...seeking God...determined and expecting to leave the world and all the cares and distractions behind, so that we can give all of ourselves in WORSHIP. Since our Worship leaders are called to help us do that, we believe that specific prayer with them and for them and for everyone else involved in the Worship Service, will make a whole world of difference to us and to God.

That is why our PRAYER WARRIOR is so vitally important, because he/she is directly involved in the ministry of specific prayer for our Worship and our Worship leaders. The PRAYER WARRIOR prays for the Pastor(s), musicians, the Pastoral Aide, all other key personnel assisting in the worship service (such as acolytes, special music, ushers, guest hosts, etc.) and, of course, for all those who have come to worship.

Instructions & Helpful Hints

1. Thank God that you have the opportunity to help prepare the Worship leaders for a specific Worship celebration through your prayer.

2. Pray for ALL those individuals listed on the Working Together For Exciting Worship (W.T.F.E.W.) schedule who are involved in that specific Worship service.

Note: On the way to Church (or sometime before the Prayer Warrior meets with the Worship Leaders), he/she should offer a prayer to God asking that everyone scheduled for that Worship celebration will carry out the responsibilities with joy and love to the Glory of God and the growth of His Kingdom.

3. Meet in the Sacristy with the Pastor(s), Pastoral Aide(s), musicians, and Special Music people 10 minutes before the Worship service begins.

4. Pray with those Worship Leaders, asking God to remove all their cares and distractions...to fill them with the Holy Spirit...to give them His peace so they can lead the Worship to His glory and to the growth of His Kingdom.

5. Stand at the altar (close to the Pastor) after the service, ready to pray with anyone who requests such ministry.

                                                            A SUMMARY

PRAYER WARRIORS have a very specific ministry centered around the power of Christian prayer. This does not in any way eliminate the fact that ALL of our MEMBERS are called to PRAY. Every time we come to Worship, we all should pray for the Holy Spirit to come and fill us to overflowing...for the Glory of God...the Spiritual Growth of each member...and the growth of His Church.

IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR WORSHIP!
