Shipshewana

Shipshewana Trip
(Bus trip to Shipshewana, Indiana - Amish Country)

CLC provides an opportunity for its members and guests to share an entire day of fellowship.

At the start of the day, approximately 6:00 A.M., we meet at Church. A continental breakfast is waiting. After breakfast, we board our bus to be whisked away for a day of shopping. We then settle in for a sumptuous dinner at Das Dutchman Essenhaus. We arrive back at church, at approximately 9:00 P.M.

The areas of service for this event are:

1. Help make the identification pins worn by each participant

(last year it was a tiny scarecrow)

2. Prepare goodie bags to hand out

3. Host, or co-host a bus

Check off names as people enter the bus

     Hand out goodie bags

     Co-ordinate any games

     Announce any upcoming church events

     Confirm the day activities

4.      Planning Committee for Shipshewana

Participate in planning the trip

5.      Set up the Continental breakfast

Family.  That’s the word you hear a lot around Community.  Whether you’re hurting or alone, fighting addiction or recovering from a loss, or celebrating and wanting to have fun, when you are a part of this family, we’re in it together as God’s people!  God’s Word and His gifts bring grace and peace into our lives.  Join us for worship, as we come together to give thanks and glory to the God who changes lives and saves souls!
