Ministry Description - Front Office Receptionist
The primary function of the receptionist is to answer phone calls in such a way as to make people feel at home before they’ve even asked for anyone or anything. After all - this is a Church! - we ought to be the happiest people in the world. Then the pleasant phone greeter forwards the call to the appropriate person and/or answers any questions the caller may have.
Among other duties established jointly with the Office Manager and Office Assistant the receptionist may also...
1. Sort Mail
2. Order flowers for funerals
3. Make reminder phone calls for meetings
4. Assist with any office work
It’s a great opportunity to help the Staff and present a pleasant smiling face in person o r over the phone.
