Mark Lowe Memorial Trail Ride

This annual event, which takes place in northern Michigan on the last Saturday of April, has become a very family-oriented, fun camping and off-road riding experience. The ride originally was known as Come Ride With Us and was organized by “The Old Trail Master” Tom Lowe. After the unexpected death of Tom and Sharon Lowe’s oldest son Mark, the ride was renamed in his memory.

It is an organized ride on state and federally maintained trails. Entrants are teamed in groups of 4 or 5. Along the trail, teams stop to participate in games and brain-teasing exercises. The ride is separated into am and pm sessions with lunch provided along the trail. The entry fee pays for a donation to CLC’s Helping Hands Ministry, food and prizes.

Service Opportunities

The lay coordinators of this event are always looking for people to help gather donations of food and prizes, game coordinators, cooks, gas haulers for the ORVs, sign up personnel, and trail preparers.

Additionally, this is a great event for families to attend whether they ride ORVs, hang around with those who do, or just love to get away up north in the woods for a great Spring weekend.
