What is Learning Lab?
Learning Lab is 45 minutes of learning-fun where the children get to participate in several learning activities based on one subject (music, science, reading, math) each week.  In early childhood education, the children do not often get 'extra' time that is focused on one academic subject.  We created Learning Lab to expose our students to more in-depth exploration of academic subjects through engaging and fun activities in a positive setting. 

At Creative Learning Campus's Learning Labs, children will learn about music, science, reading and math through hands-on experiments and activities.  We want your child to have fun and be excited about learning new things!  Below is the academic subject schedule we'll follow each month.

Week  1:   Children will explore the world of MUSIC, MOVEMENT, and RYTHM. 
Week 2:   Children will explore the world of SCIENCE.
Week 3:   Children will explore the world of READING.
Week 4:   Children will explore the world of NUMBERS and MATH.

When and Where is Learning Lab?
Learning Lab is offered once per week on Mondays for four-year olds.  Learning Lab is run by one our director and assisted by our fun, part-time daycare teachers and is usually set up in a makeshift classroom in the gym.  They meet for 45 minutes between the am/pm classes.  Click HERE for the 2011-12 schedule.

I'm Interested, Now What?
Sign up sheets will be posted one week before the next month on your child's sign in podium.  We need to have a minimum of 8 students signed up per lab in order to be able to run each lab effectively.  Be sure to sign up for all of the sessions your child will be able to attend ahead of time, so the staff can prepare enough materials. 

The lab fee is $5 per Learning Lab.  Four-year olds will receive a $3.00 discount per month when you sign your child up for the entire month by the designated cut-off date.  Dates will be listed on each month's sign up sheet.  For months with only 3 labs offered due to holiday breaks, there will be no discounts offered.  No refunds are given, except in the case that your child is absent from school. 

Please NOTE: 
All Learning Lab fees will be reflected on your monthly bill and can be paid with your tuition payment.  If your child uses the daycare on Learning Lab days and participates in a Lab session, you will not be charged the daycare rate during Learning Lab.  The only charge for that hour is the "lab fee" ($5).
