James Engelbert has been involved in church music for 25 years, becoming a church Choir Director at the age of 15. He as been on staff at Community Lutheran Church since 1999 and continues to serve as a Keyboard player and Asst. Choir Director. Jim hails from the Ann Arbor area and holds a BMEI from Eastern Michigan University. He has been the Director of Bands for Flat Rock Community Schools since 1991 and the High School Choir Director since 2004.
Jim resides in Flat Rock with his wife, Michelle and their three children, Hayden (9), Anika (5), and Reagan (6 months). In his spare time, Mr. Engelbert enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, collecting John Deere tractors and watching Paula Deen on the Food Network.
