L.A.D.D. is Life After Death or Divorce and is a support group for anyone in these categories, who would like some help dealing with the issues that go along with losing a loved one. If you have never been married but have been in a long-term relationship, come and join us.
L.A.D.D. has a varied program so we can offer something that will help you.
We meet in the Community Room of Community Lutheran Church at 7:00 p.m. every Monday. If this is your first time, please arrive by 6:50 p.m. so a facilitator can sit and talk with you to help determine how we can help you the most.
Dismissal is between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m.
Dress is casual - in good taste
Cost is $3.00 per week (for refreshments and some materials - $4 pizza night)

JULY CALENDAR
JULY 7
This month we will be viewing a film for the widowed. Divorced people please come and support your widowed fellow members. If you think about it, both groups face a lot of the same feelings. The film we will be viewing tonight is “God’s Prescription For Grief”. The bereaved are often overwhelmed by the advice they receive from others. Often what goes unnoticed is what God says about healing. The session tells participants how to position themselves to experience God’s healing. Those of you who are divorced, remember divorce is the death of a marriage. This film could really help you. Discussion to follow.
JULY 14
Movie Night with discussion to follow: Tonight, we will be viewing the movie “Bucket List”. Come and enjoy this film. We will be starting the movie at promptly at 7:10 to allow us to have time to view the film and have a discussion afterwards.
JULY 21
Tonight is guest speaker night. Kaye Lani Rae Wilson. We know her as Kay Lani, Miss America of 1988. She is now married to Chuck Wilson for almost 20 years, the mother of Nicholas age 16, Alana age 11, Joseph age 8. A fourth child Gabriel has passed away. She is on 12 community boards in Monroe County. Kaye Loni is the director of a family grief support group in Monroe called “Gabby’s Ladder”. She also still has a busy schedule of traveling and speaking. Come hear her testimony of how she has over come many serious difficulties in her life and how she arrived at her success of being able to help so many people. Discussion to follow.

Social Night: We will be ordering pizza and playing cards and table games. Bring your favorite game or deck of cards. If you are not interested in playing games but would like to just sit around and talk that is also welcomed. For social night the cost is $4.00.

The film we will be viewing tonight is “Single Sexuality”. We will be viewing the film and than have Dr. Joyce Vaclav with us. Dr. Vaclav is an infectious disease specialist. She is on staff at Mercy Memorial Hospital, South Shore Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. She will be telling us about all the Sexuality Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and how to recognize them and deal with them. Discussion will follow.
AUGUST 11

Tonight is guest speaker night. Our guest speaker tonight is Tom Treece. Tom is a local Monroe talent. He has written two books “The Ghost Closet” and “But What Do I know”. He has a CD “The Wide Road”. Tom also writes a weekly column for the Monroe Evening News. Tom and his group have a long list of past and future appearances to entertain people with their musical talents. Come and listen to what Tom has to say about “Hope”. How hope will get you thru all the potholes of life.
