What is Impact?
Impact is a Creative Arts ministry at CLC specifically designed to allow children to explore the gifts that God has given them. Kids are then given the opportunity to use and expand upon their gifts as they offer them back in praise to His Name. Children come together to learn about God and have fun through music, drama, dance and other creative arts.
Who Attends Impact?
Impact is open to children beginning at age 4 through the 8th grade. It is not necessary to have any experience in music or another creative art. All children who want to be a part of Impact are welcome to attend at any time. Parents, older siblings, and other family members are also invited to help out in the classroom or other areas associated with the program.
When Do We Attend Impact?
Impact classes meet from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. each Wednesday evening from mid-September through early Spring. Kids are broken up into three groups that focus on different age-appropriate activities:
Age 4 - 1st Grade: singing, movement, rhythm, note recognition, etc.
2nd - 4th Grade: singing, dance, music theory, drawing, etc.
5th - 8th Grade: vocal & instrumental music, theory, dance, acting, etc.
